DO YOU LIKE CHANGE? Change is strange! Including a good change. We all want change regardless of whether we realize it or not. Nonetheless, embracing it is another matter altogether, let alone pursuing it.
In the silent of everything, we long for a change in something, in our lives. It may seem quite a feat at the moment but that does not nullify the desire. We seek to get that good change we so much long for. That change that makes us better at what we do. One that makes our relationships better. That which increases our worth at work.
For this reason, Personal Growth is as it is called, personal. Without it, corporate growth is weakened or made impossible. This is why corporate growth will always be way harder to actualize if the individuals within the corporate do not buy into their personal growth. With this realization, it should be much palatable to understand why there would be substantial employee turnover in most companies.
In light of this, two main reasons brawl for the top position:
The first being the employees’ resolution to seek a place or employer who would provide ample conditions for personal growth. These types of employees are extraordinary; they are the vital few. The 20 percent who will always drive 80 percent of growth in their respective companies.
Secondly, they could leave because of their incompetence by way of dismissal which could be good for them if it works to re-awaken them to the reality of becoming better. On the other hand, they could just remain the lazy and unperturbed. Therefore, ending up in self-pity and bitterness.
Consequently, it is prime to know that without individual willpower we can only achieve so much. The willingness to change is viable ground to all the possibilities available. It is practically impossible to even notice these opportunities when there isn’t even an ounce of growth-desire. You see, even comfort eventually becomes a hurdle towards personal growth. It will continue blinding one to the need of change out of fear of loss of the current status or fear of failure.
Getting charged up for personal growth requires both internal and external aids, which heavily rely on an individual’s internal compass.
